  1. Closing: This is the process that includes an examination of a project deliverable and an assessment of the outcomes of the project against the original plan. This is the primary function of closing.

There are mainly six processes that are listed under project scope management.

Plan your scope or planning scope management: This phase is developed to provide basic planning or guidance for the project or an out view as a whole also how a project will be defined as well as how it will be controlled and validated. This phase also includes information on how you will handle something unexpected that will prevent an event or situation from continuing normally throughout the project.

 

  1.  Collect requirement: The process of determining, documenting, and managing stakeholders needs and all the requirements to meet the project objectives. In this process, you will get a clear idea of what your stakeholders want and how you are going to manage their expectations. All information can be gathered through groups, interviews, or surveys. To meet project goals a manager needs his project team to identify and manage project requirement, which are conditions that must be fulfilled to ensure that the project can be deemed a success, such as completed a project before  the due date

Define the scope of the project: The process about a detailed description of the project or product and you understand what deliverables are expected, and clearly defines exactly what is in the scope and what is out of the scope for your project. Also, all the project parameters are detailed in this phase. It includes a project management plan, scope management plan, and project charter.

 

  1. Create WBS (Work Breakdown structure): In this phase we simply breakdown the entire project into smaller individual tasks, to effectively manage the project and its deliverables. A project team can work faster and  more efficiently when they know what they have to do clearly and also project managers can be assured that all the tasks fall within the appropriate scope of work

Validating project scope: To know whether the project is on the right track. in this phase, your deliverables are reviewed by whoever needs to approve them or check that the project is going in the right direction. It shows the stakeholders have received what was agreed upon initially. It’s important to have a plan in place for exactly how project deliverables will be accepted as complete.

 

  1.  Control your scope:  The status of the project, product scope and managing changes to the scope should be monitored from start until it finishes completely. There are some essential inputs that are required to effectively control project scope, including project management plan, scope management plan, and requirement management plan.
